Why we love gauze...

People love to wear gauze and each person has a different reason. Gauze is made out of cotton which is a natural fabric; therefore it is hypoallergenic which is great for anyone with skin irritations. Gauze helps to keep us cool in the summer and warm in the winter which really is ideal. Gauze is also a breathable fabric and transmits moisture away from the body which helps to keep you cool and comfortable in hot summer weather. Our gauze is washer and dryer safe and there is NO ironing allowed which may make it the easiest clothing to take care of, who doesn't like that? a multipurpose acessory!

How many different ways can you think of to wear a "bando"? The options are endless really....you can use it as a scarf, headband, or belt. Within each of those categories are numerous ways to re-style your most favorite outfits. For example, a basic pair of pants instant becomes more interesting when you braid a bando across the front like a belt! You can wrap it around your head and use it as a headband, and there are so many more ways to use one as a scarf; draped across your shoulders, thrown over just one shoulder, looped and knotted...the list could go on and on. There are so many colors to choose from that it can make decusion making difficult, luckily we always keep a good supply on hand in a rainbow of colors :)

Rainy Days

All of this rainy weather is the perfect reason for a little retail therapy! We have been so busy at the store working fast to get our new Dunes shipment out on the floor for our wonderful customers!! There are so many bright colors and new styles perfect for summer, it is hard to decide what to buy first. The Gauzeway first started in February of 2006 in Downtown Melbourne, Florida. After turning down several job offers in her field of study of Economics, Jennifer Davis, 22 years old, decided she wanted to pursue her dream: offer a comfortable and sophisticated clothing line! Jennifer has enjoyed this clothing for years and wished to share it with everyone and that is exactly what she is doing!

In April 2006, The Gauzeway launched its online store. In January 2007, The Gauzeway relocated and expanded to carry a larger selection of clothes. This lead to the opening of their second location located in Fernandina Beach, Florida, despite the sluggish economy in 2009.

Jennifer currently manages the Fernandina Beach store while her sister Michelle Davis runs the Melbourne store.
